You watched, and are still partial to, WWF wrestling.

There's really no contest

Re: Star Wars: Rogue One
just wondered!!!

Vader plays a big part in this apprenetly, lopping off head and limbs according to one rumour I read

so may well be him, but we won't need to see him so it wen't matter

http://www.independent.co.uk/arts-entertainment/films/news/star-wars-rogue-one-darth-vader-to-get-considerably-more-brutal-a6840016.html

'The action sequences filmed are unknown, but there was work pitching the different ways Darth Vader could kill rebels on a battlefield with the Force and his lightsaber. The storyboard “pitches” showed decapitated rebels, people being dismembered by Vader throwing his sword, levitating bodies to make human shields, and so on. The art was more violent than what we’ve seen Darth Vader do on screen before.'

Ewan McGregor was worse than Christensen, for me.

3 whole movies doing a bad impression of Alec Guinness.

Weird question

Of course.

Which is why if they are planning to use Christensen in some of these later ones, I am not freaking out. I think they know what they are doing.

Re: Star Wars: Rogue One
did you like VII ioc?

I thought was a huge improvement on the horrible sequels, actually felt like a Star Wars film

ironsofcanada 5:19 Thu Apr 7
Re: Star Wars: Rogue One
My original comment was in jest as Hayden Christensen was very bad. That said, so were a lot of very decent actors in those movies. If you have to work almost exclusively in front of a green screen and are not allowed to improvise your lines at all (reportedly) a lot of actors would have trouble.

I wasn't a huge fan of him when his career started but that was in teenage soap opera like stuff with more bad lines and directing (Canadian.)

But never being in a decent movie is a bit of a self-fulfilling prophecy if your first big roles (in Hollywood) were the Star Wars prequels. Would you put him your decent movie after that?

Re: Star Wars: Rogue One
The character arc of nice-if-a-bit-flash-and-head-strong kid turning into an utter evil cunt could have been achieved.

But not with him in the role.

There's a reason he's never been in a good film.

ioc

i think the issue is that he never became menacing, just more and more petulant. don't think anyone expected him menacing from day one

I disagree, obviously.

The point was to watch him make the transition not for him to be menacing from day one. It didn't work, again obviously, but he had to have some kind of development.

"a lot of what was wrong with him was script and directing"

No it was his awful acting and he had no presence, there was never the thought he was a threat/evil he just looked like a spoilt teenager

It needed someone menacing

not being able to see his clueless face will help....

Sure he is not busy doing a another Christian movie with Kate Bosworth?

More seriously, a lot of what was wrong with him was script and directing so I guess it could get better.

I detect sarcasm in the Force from irons and One Mac.

Sources do indicate HC will be playing Vader though.

Re: Star Wars: Rogue One
I thought Christensen was shit and didn't help with the shitness of the prequel's.

I suppose if he's got a black suit on and something cloaking his annoying whiny voice it'll help, though Vader is about a foot taller than him.
